Ministry Mission
From its conception in 2002, the mission of Campus Kids Ministries, Inc. has been to reach children through the gospel of Jesus Christ and to disciple them in the Word of God. Bible Club is held once a week after school on school grounds for one and one-half hours. Clubs generally begin in September and end in April.
The Christ-ordained commission of Campus Kids Ministries, Inc. is threefold:
To empower local churches to adopt a local school to demonstrate God's Love to that school community.
The best way to demonstrate the love of our Savior is by establishing a relationship with the school staff and children. Churches may choose to participate by providing school supplies, coats, shoes etc. for those in need, offering tutorial help, creating blessing baskets for school staff, providing special treats for recess, giving Christmas presents to the children, hosting staff appreciation luncheons, etc.
-
To establish weekly Bible Clubs in public elementary schools - that children may be evangelized and discipled in God's Word.
Weekly Bible Clubs require a church sponsor that will provide volunteers, prayer partners, and financial support. Clubs are required to have around 5 adults, with a minimum commitment for a six-week Club. All volunteers must participate in training and child protection screening.
-
Through school adoption, unchurched families may be evangelized, discipled and established in the local church.
This entails a commitment of establishing a relationship with school children and their families, and willingness to invite and include neighborhood families in the church family. Activities can be planned during the year to facilitate this.
Statement of Faith
We believe that:
-
The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings, a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.
(II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:21, Deuteronomy 4:2)
-
There is only one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 4:35, I Timothy 2:5, Isaiah 44:6)
-
Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.
(Isaiah 9:6, Isaiah 53, John 1:1, Philippians 2:5-7, I Timothy 3:16)
-
The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age, to convict men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.
(John 15:26, Acts 1:8, Acts 5:3,4, John 16:13,14)
-
Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost. Only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
(Genesis 1:26,27, Romans 5:12, John 3:3,6,7)
-
The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for the justification and salvation for all who believe. Only such as receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God.
(Romans 5:8, I Corinthians 15:1-4, Hebrews 9:22, Ephesians 2:8,9, John 3:16, Titus 3:5)
